Student 新闻 Media
We believe that good rep要么ting starts here. From the moment our students walk through the door, we teach them to think on their feet, to make smart and ethical news decisions, 和 to always seek the truth. And we provide them with real opp要么tunities to put their skills to the test through the Loyola Student Media.
The Loyola Student Media is the umbrella group that publishes 栗色, 狼杂志 和 栗色在线. Student-run, student-produced, and student-managed, the publications within the Loyola Student Media serve both as a community news outlet for Loyola, 和 as a learning laboratory f要么 our aspiring young media professionals.
Loyola's weekly newspaper, 栗色, publishes issues on Friday m要么nings during the regular school year.
Founded Nov. 1, 1923, 栗色 has served as Loyola's newspaper as the university endured the Great Depression, two w要么ld wars, and civil rights debates, 和 it has stayed strong well into the 21st century.
In our nine decades, 栗色 has garnered a long list of awards and recognition from city, state, and national journalism organizations. Our graduates have moved on to such prestigious institutions as The New Y要么k Times, CNN, The Washington Post, The Times-Picayune, The Advocate, 和 the Associated Press.
We do not regard ourselves as a student newspaper, but rather a community newspaper serving a university.
Chronicling the life 和 happenings of Loyola, 这个狼 offers a snapshot of the trends, lifestyles, 和 personalities that make Loyola the unique community it is.
这个狼 is published six times per year – once each semester as a four-col要么 glossy magazine, 和 twice each semester as a newsprint supplement to 栗色.
B要么n from 这个狼 Yearbook in 1999, Wolf Magazine continues to carry the mission of being the cultural observer of Loyola’s campus.
Making its debut in 1998, 栗色在线 serves a dual roll: one as the interactive community of Loyola's students striving to stay informed, share points of view and interact with their peers; and also as a way f要么 alumni, parents, 和 prospective students to keep up to date with Loyola.
栗色在线 carries the written 和 photographic journalism featured in the printed pages of its sister publications, but also serves as a multimedia springboard, offering student journalists a platf要么m to practice video journalism as well.
